Hard Jelly Candle Wax
This harder jelly wax variant melts at 85°C and is poured at a higher temperature range of 130-140°C, making it suited to shaped, mold-cast decorative candles rather than simple container fills. Like all jelly wax, it is a fully transparent blend of mineral oil and polymer.
Compared to the softer jelly wax type, this version holds firmer, more defined shapes once set, which is why it is favored for sculptural or figural candle designs. Soft, flexible silicone molds are recommended, since rigid molds such as PC plastic molds can make complete demolding difficult.
As with the softer variant, slow low-heat melting and stainless steel stirring are essential to avoid smoking and trapped air bubbles, with full clarity achieved in the 130-140°C range.
