13mm Flat Wooden Candle Wick with Metal Sustainer Tab

A flat wooden wick measuring 13mm wide and 130mm long, fitted with a standard-gauge metal sustainer clip base that holds the wick centered and upright within the candle during pour and throughout burning. The natural wood grain of each wick is visible before coating, and the light wood tone is consistent across production batches.

The 13mm width produces the characteristic flat flame and soft crackling sound that differentiates wooden wicks from cotton alternatives. This width is well-suited to container candles in the 6-10cm diameter range — wide enough to initiate and maintain a full melt pool across the vessel diameter, while the 130mm length accommodates candle fills up to approximately 10cm deep.

The metal sustainer is sized to grip the wood flat firmly without slipping, keeping the wick orientation consistent through the pour and set process. The clip profile is compatible with standard wick centering tools used in production environments.

Candle Care Guide
Storage Store candles in a cool, dark, and dry place. Excessive heat or direct sunlight may cause the candle surface to melt, which can affect the scent throw and result in insufficient fragrance release when lit.
Lighting Before lighting the candle, trim the wick to 5–8 mm. During the first burn, allow it to burn continuously for 2–3 hours. Candles develop a "burn memory" — if the first burn does not melt the wax evenly around the wick, the candle will continue to burn only in a narrow tunnel around the wick afterward.
Extending Burn Time Keep the wick trimmed to 5–8 mm. Trimming helps the candle burn evenly, prevents black smoke, and reduces soot on the candle container. Each burn session should last at least 2 hours but no longer than 4 hours. For longer use, extinguish the candle every 4 hours, trim the wick back to 5 mm, and relight it.
Extinguishing the Candle Never blow out a candle with your mouth, as this can damage the candle, produce black smoke, and turn the pleasant fragrance into an unpleasant smoky odor. Instead, use a candle snuffer or a wick dipper to submerge the wick into the melted wax. Stop burning the candle when less than 2 cm of wax remains to prevent overheating and reduce the risk of the container cracking.
Important Notes Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep lit candles out of reach of children and pets. Protect your furniture — candles become very hot after about 3 hours of burning, so avoid placing them directly on furniture. The candle lid can be used as a heat-resistant coaster.
