Natural Grain Flat Wooden Candle Wick with Tab Base

A flat wooden wick in natural uncoated wood with a pressed metal tab sustainer base, supplied in multiple width options to suit different candle vessel diameters. The natural wood grain finish means each wick has a slightly unique surface character while remaining within consistent performance specifications for ignition and burn behavior.

The flat profile produces the signature horizontal flame and subtle crackling acoustic that have made wooden wicks a favored choice for premium and artisan candle brands. The natural wood absorbs fragrance-carrying wax more slowly than cotton, contributing to a longer, more controlled burn and a fragrance diffusion profile that unfolds gradually rather than immediately.

The metal tab base is formed with a channel that grips the flat wick without crimping, maintaining the perpendicular relationship between wick and base that ensures stable flame position. The tab diameter is compatible with standard sustainer gripping tools.

Available in widths from narrow (6-7mm) to wide (15-16mm) to suit container diameters from 60mm to 120mm and beyond. Suitable for professional candle production, craft supply, and OEM brand programs.

Candle Care Guide
Storage Store candles in a cool, dark, and dry place. Excessive heat or direct sunlight may cause the candle surface to melt, which can affect the scent throw and result in insufficient fragrance release when lit.
Lighting Before lighting the candle, trim the wick to 5–8 mm. During the first burn, allow it to burn continuously for 2–3 hours. Candles develop a "burn memory" — if the first burn does not melt the wax evenly around the wick, the candle will continue to burn only in a narrow tunnel around the wick afterward.
Extending Burn Time Keep the wick trimmed to 5–8 mm. Trimming helps the candle burn evenly, prevents black smoke, and reduces soot on the candle container. Each burn session should last at least 2 hours but no longer than 4 hours. For longer use, extinguish the candle every 4 hours, trim the wick back to 5 mm, and relight it.
Extinguishing the Candle Never blow out a candle with your mouth, as this can damage the candle, produce black smoke, and turn the pleasant fragrance into an unpleasant smoky odor. Instead, use a candle snuffer or a wick dipper to submerge the wick into the melted wax. Stop burning the candle when less than 2 cm of wax remains to prevent overheating and reduce the risk of the container cracking.
Important Notes Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep lit candles out of reach of children and pets. Protect your furniture — candles become very hot after about 3 hours of burning, so avoid placing them directly on furniture. The candle lid can be used as a heat-resistant coaster.
